To Mountain Sky Conference Pastors and Church Financial Leaders:
Greetings and thank you for the important financial leadership you provide at your local church. We are writing to explain the new method to report and pay Mission Shares and Pension and Health Benefits that will begin Feb. 1, 2019.
Please note the reporting method is changing for every church in the Mountain Sky Conference. Legacy Rocky Mountain churches have been making payments through the Prosper system, and will now use the Ministry Financials portal of Mission Connect. Legacy Yellowstone churches have been using the Ministry Financials portal, and will now calculate their mission shares based on income.
The new method will be online Feb. 1, 2019. You will login at www.mtnskyumc.org/statsmissionshares. Please follow the instructions in the attached Getting Started document. Your username is your church GCFA number, and your password is your Conference church number. Please contact your district office, Julie Booth (jbooth@mtnskyumc.org), or Sarah Hultquist (shultquist@mtnskyumc.org) if you need these numbers.
The Getting Started document includes links to several videos. Please view these to fully understand how to use each page.
We encourage you to fill out the form online and pay online. If you are using Ministry Financials for the first time, you will need to enter your bank information for online payments.
We have attached a copy of the Mission Shares Remittance Form and the instructions for your use. If you use the manual form and mail a check, please be sure to put mission shares and designated giving on one check, and your benefits payment on a separate check. Below are the instructions and forms:
